The module consists of a printed circuit Board made for the system Allegro ACS709LLFTR-35BB-T. The sensor operates based on the Hall effect. The chip can be powered from voltage range: 3.0 V to 5.5 V.


Pin code the default FAULT in the high state. Reaches a low state when the value of tension of the measured current exceeds the threshold. The threshold value is selected by making the appropriate voltage pin VOC. It depends on the values of the resistors of the voltage divider shown in the diagram below. By default, the threshold is set at 57, but can be changed by adding external resistor. Reset error flag (low) to pine FAULT through the low input situation to the output FAULT_EN (default is pulled up to VCC). More details in the documentation.

Basic module features:

Max current is measured according to the duration of the measurement. For example, a current of 50 amps can flow through the system for a maximum of 20 seconds, without causing damage. After this time the module reaches the temperature to above 150 °C. over current 30A the manufacturer recommends to use for additional cooling.





Wyprowadzenia czujnika prądu ACS709 

For proper operation, the sensor just plug: measured current (IP+ and IP)supply voltage 3V to 5.5 V (VCC and GND) and output (VIOUT). The remaining pins are not required, they are used to connect external capacitors as shown in figure above.

The output voltage is proportional to the intensity of the measured current. The value centered at VCC/2. When fed 5V the output voltage is changed to 28mV for 1A measured current. The positive direction of the current is increased the value of the voltage is negative, on the contrary, decreases. The pattern on the output voltage VOUT switches as follows:


VIOUT = (0.028/AND * and + 2.5 V) * DC / 5 V


Pin VZCR is the value of the reference voltage for zero current (0 A). This value is approximately equal to VCC/2, allows to accurately calculate the intensity of the measured current.


Pin FILT allows you to connect an external capacitor Cf (between FILT and GND), which allows to limit the range of throttle, default 120kHz. More information about the external filter can be found in the system documentation.
