The Adafruit module is a combination of a 3-axis gyroscope,accelerometerandcompass. It allows to measure acceleration, magnetic field and angular velocity. The measuring ranges are fully configurable. It has a built-in digital DMP processor. Module with SPI/I2C communication interface. Powered by 1.71 V to 3.6 V.

The module is equipped with16-bitanalog-to-digital converters, which convert the analog to digital signal. Access to the readings is provided by the SPI/I2C communication interfaces.Each reading can be configured according to the following range:

-•gyroscope:± 250 dps, ± 500 dps, ± 1000 dps and ± 2000 dps

- • abcelerometer:± 2g, ± 4g, ± 8g and ± 16g

-•a compass:to± 4900 µT

In order to facilitate work with the module, the manufacturer has prepared auser guide andlibrary forArduino.

Module outputs and wiring diagram

The sensor has specialleadsin the form of soldering fields, which should be soldered togoldpin connectors2.54 mm raster (included). They make it possible to connect the board with the main module (e.g. MetrowhetherArduino) by means ofcables. The second possibility, much simpler, is to connect the sensor using STEMMAQT / Qwiicconnectors.
