Description

Driver to connect stepper motors in the kit with additional elements needed to run a 3D printer. The system is compatible with Arduino Mega 2560. It requires five modules with driver A4988, to work. In addition to these elements, Ramps 1.4 enables connecting mechanical or optical limit sensors, devices to control the injection of plastic and an LCD display, SD memory card reader and Bluetooth module.

The Ramps 1.4 module is controlled through the Arduino Mega 2560 platform, which, thanks to its versatility, makes it easy to expand the system. Motors are controlled by popular, testes chips A4988, with maximum current up to 2 A per motor. Arduino Mega 2560 and the A4988 drivers are not included in the package. They can be purchased separately in our store.

Note

On the reverse side, included is 1N4004 diode. It is necessary to solder it in the spot marked D1, only in the case when the supply voltage does not exceed 12 V. After installing it, the Arduino Mega will be powered by a power source of module Ramps. If the voltage exceeds 12V or interference occurs in the form of voltage studs with large amplitude, the Arduino and the module Ramps will deteriorate. If there is a risk of such situation, the diode D1 should be left not soldered, and the Arduino shoul be powered from another source.
