Description
A retro console kit based on Picade overlay for Raspberry Pi. On the board there are connectors for joystick and buttons, audio I2S DAC with 3 W amplifier and a power switch.The capis powered via a micro USB port on the board, power is also supplied to the Raspberry Pi via GPIO connectors so there is no need for additional power for the Raspberry Pi.
The product is available as a Picade cover, RaspberryPi minicomputerand case can be purchased separately.
The I2S DAC combines both channels of digital audio from the Raspberry Pi into one mono output. It then goes through a 3W amplifier to power any connected speaker. The board also has a power switch that allows you to safely turn the Raspberry on and off without damaging the SD card. The manufacturer recommends usingM2.5 spacers to prevent the board from coming into contact with the HDMI port.
