Description

Module, using a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, can measure the acceleration and angular velocity in three-dimensional space. The system MPU has a hardware unit DMP (Digital Motion Processor) that allows recalculation of the data to the position relative to the Earth.

 

For communication with the central unit, the popular I2C bus (TWI) is used. The module has, necessary for the correct operation of the system, passive elements. Leads are popular goldpin connectors, for connecting the sensor via wires or for connecting directly to breadboard. Manufacturere has prepared a library and sample program in C language.

Since the maximum voltage, with which the system works, is 3.4 V, to work with Arduino, required is a voltage converter. The exceptions are the modules, operating with voltages of 3.3 V, for example, Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 3.3 V/8 MHz.

The manufacturer provides sample code along with the connection scheme for users of Arduino.

The sensor has ten pins for mounting goldpin connectors - 2.54 mm pitch (not included).
