Product description: USB Bit Whacker - development board with PIC18F2553 chip - SparkFun DEV-00762
Development board with PIC18F2553 microcontroller equipped with 32 kB of flash memory, 2 kB of RAM, 1 x 8-bit and 3 x 16-bit timer, 12-bit ADC, miniUSB input and 16 I/O pins. The board allows direct programming of the microcontroller with a PC without any additional hardware, when connected to PC via USB cable it is recognised as RS232 COM port. UBW allows you to control individual pins on the microcontroller with simple commands.

Programming
The PIC18F2553 comes with a preloaded USB bootloader, so after creating the HEX file it can be uploaded directly to the board via USB without any additional programmers.
