Description

The system allows you to control a stepper motor using a device that allows you to generate the logical state, for example, Aa rduino, STM32Discovery, Raspberry Pi. The module is characterized by a very simple operation, compatible with engines krokowymi 4, 6 and 8 wired.

 

 

The system can be configured to work with voltages of 3.3 V. this requires dolutować the jumper marked with 3/5V.

 

Connection driver

Voltage zasalania of the motor must be connected to terminals labeled PWR IN - the positive pole of M+, ground, GND. The findings of the stepper motor are connected to the contacts of the MOTOR - coil A and B. Control is via pins DIR (direction) and STEP (step). In the case when signals strujące feed from a different source than the voltage for the motor you must also connect the ground of the control system to terminal GND.

Attention!

The connection and disconnection of the engine while the driver is turned on can damage the system.

 

Resolution

The step size is selected via the inputs MS1, MS2. Possible settings are shown in the table below. Inputs MS1, MS2 and MS3 have a built-in resistor pull-up (10 kω), so by default, the system works in a mode 1/8 steps.

Current limit

Easy Driver module allows the active current limit with the potentiometer. One of the ways the introduction of restrictions to set the driver to full step and measuring the current passing through one coil without signal at the input STEP.
