The output voltage can be above, below or equal to the supply voltage (in the range of 2.5 V to 18 V).
Continuous output current is 200 mA depends on input voltage (see details in the further part of the description).
The output voltage is 12 Volts with an accuracy of 4 %.

Large input voltage range and stable output voltage of 12 Volts with an accuracy of 4% ensures that the module is very well established as a stabilizer in systems with battery supply. For example, when the required voltage of 12 V in the system liquefied the three objectives li and a half, where a fully charged pack exceeds 12, a nominally reaches of 11.1 V.
In a typical application the system can provide the current up to 300 mA (details in the further part of the description). The regulator is equipped with a temperature protection, but not protection against short-circuit and reverse connection of the supply.

Efficiency is defined as the ratio input power to output power (Pout/Pin). This parameter is of particular importance when running on battery power when it is important that the system worked as long as possible on a single charge. The efficiency of the Converter depends on the strength of the current flow and the input voltage (chart below). The average is at 70-80 %, which allows to use almost the maximum energy from the battery.
The maximum current that can provide a system depends in particular on: the input voltage and operating temperature. The dependence of the maximum current from the input voltage shown in the figure below. In the case when the operating temperature reaches a too high value, the module automatically turns off the power.
In electronic circuits, the current run can lead to the emergence of so-called pins, that is, sharp voltage spike to a value above a certain level. If the amplitude of the pin exceeds the permissible value of the controller, it can fail. Therefore, if the system will be powered with a voltage of 11 Volts and the load will have high inductance, we highly recommend you wlutowanie capacitor with a nominal value of 33 UF / 25 V or higher, as close as possible to the system between VIN and GND.
