Description
Natural gas (methane) sensor poweredby two lithium AA batteries (included). It also has the function ofautomatic check up of end-of-life and low battery, in case of detection of violations it will inform the user with a sound signal. A special feature of the device is that it is powered by battery, which is a very unique solution for gas sensors, other sensors require a constant power supply 230V, limiting their actions during cut offs in power supply. The sensor can operate for years on the supplied set of batteries.
The installation of the gas sensor
The first step is to confirm the type of gas used in the house. Sensor is designed to detectnatural gas onlyand have been clearly identified as such. Natural gas is lighter than air, which makes it rise up and accumulate in the upper part of the room. Because of this, the sensor should be mountedabove the highest window, doors or ventilation grilles.Works best at a 30 cm distance from the ceiling.
