Description: Zortrax DSS Station
Zortrax DSS is an automatic device for removing soluble support structures printed from PVA or BVOH watersolublefilaments.The device has a display showing the remaining time and temperature, function buttons for temperature control, power button, top cover, rotor, rinsing basket, handles, electrical socket with switch and a valve for water drainage.
The DSS system, reduces the need for manual removal of support, allows3D printers to offergreat convenience. The DSS is a fluid flow station that is designed to dissolve the media. You can leave the printed item in the water for a few hours and it will remain without any residue. This process is completely hands-free, so you can save your time.
The station itself is very easy to use, just fill the device with water and insert the element into it. After a few hours you have to pull out the element (sometimes you will have to use a brush to remove the rest of the support material). Finally, dry carefully and ready.
Which support material can be removed?
DSS Zortrax removes support material made ofPVA or BVOHfilaments regardless of manufacturer. Everything happens in a chamber with water without any additional solvents, so you can work safely with the device. There is also no need to interfere in its operation, the support material dissolves itself.
PVA(Polyvinyl Acetate) isa water-soluble support material designed for 3D printers. It has a low melting point.
BVOH (Butenediolvinyl alcohol co-polymer) is a fully water-soluble support pillar designed for 3D printers for complex models. It combines very well with ABS and PLA.
