LED lighting

LED-based lighting technology is one of the most popular and groundbreaking inventions in the history of electronics. What's more, to this day more and more LED lighting technology is still intensively developed. LED technology has a lot of advantages. Low power consumption, high reliability, safe low voltage power supply and easy adjustment of brightness and colour are just a few of these advantages. In this category, you will find a wide selection of different types of LED lighting sources. LED lighting is an interesting solution for many electronic projects, as well as a way to elegant, decorate the interiors of residential and industrial buildings. In our store, you will find a wide selection of LED lighting along with accessories. We offer, among others single, discrete LEDs for through-hole mounting (THT) and surface mounting (SMD). We also have LED chains and matrices controlled by microcontrollers, as well as something for lovers of intelligent installations - LED lightbulbs controlled via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Wireless controlled LED lightbulb - it is not another sci-fi novel, it is a real-world - here, there and now!

The development of LED technology has led (sic!) to the design and commercialization of LED bulbs, which over time have replaced the classic tungsten filament bulbs. In our store, you will find a wide selection of LED bulbs with different shapes, fastening thread, light colour and different powers. Botland store offer also include LED lamps for indoor spaces and gardens, along with accessories such as power supplies, twilight sensors and modulating controllers. If you want to equip your home with a modern intelligent installation, be sure to check our offer of LED bulbs equipped with a Wi-Fi wireless communication module. Such bulbs can be controlled from a smartphone - in this way you can almost freely set the colour of the bulb and light intensity. We also recommend our LED Beacons offer, which can be used as automatic gate warning lighting. Be sure to check out our range of Christmas tree lights with drivers and LED headlamps!

Powering and connecting of LED lighting

LED strips and matrices usually require 5VDC power supply, but there are also modules that can be powered by 3V or 12V. For this purpose, the simplest solution will be a 230VAC adapter. When choosing a power supply, you need to pay attention to its current efficiency so that it is large enough for the planned number of diodes in the matrix or LED strip is powered. One way to connect LED strips is a chain connection, which means that each fragment of the LED strip must be connected directly to the power source or other fragment of the LEDs that are connected to the power supply. This method of connection depends on the geometry of the wires and the shape of the connectors in the LED strip and the shape of the output plug of the power supply - if you like to soldering, it will be the most flexible and the cheapest way of assembly. However, if you do not want to pick up a soldering iron, you can use connectors to connect LED lighting modules and power sources without having to solder.
