HobbyKing is a company founded by Anthony Hand, whose passion is RC models. He built his first model back in 1989, a Sig Cadet, which he crashed on the first flight and never repaired due to the high cost of repair. In 2001 Hand returned to RC and founded HobbyKing, bringing affordable radio controlled products to the market. Today, Anthony spends most of his time researching new product ideas and testing samples. He counts the Sonic-64 as his favorite model of all time.

Prices at HobbyKing are kept very low, all due to the company's direct connection to hardware manufacturing factories and in-house production capabilities. As a low-income organization, they always try their best to match product prices to market conditions.
